Natalie's 10th Birthday Party

For Natalie's birthday party, she decided that she wanted to have a slumber party and go to the mall. After planning a big Spa party for Megan's birthday, I wanted to make Natalie's party special since she was turning the big 1-0! Natalie and I decided that a Scavenger Hunt at the mall would be a good idea. She didn't know anything about what I was planning, all she knew was that she had a limit as to how many friends she could invite since it was a slumber party. : ) Friday night, Feb. 27th, all of her friends arrived and were waiting for us to head to the mall. We started out the front door and all of the screaming began......they had no idea that I had rented a Limo to take the girls to the mall!!

Natalie was SO excited and so were all of the girls. On the way to the mall, they all started using a cell phone to call their families to tell them.

Here is a picture of me and the happy birthday girl!

As we got to the mall, the girls were let out of the Limo and walked the Red Carpet.

The girls were split into 2 groups of 4. I was the leader of the pink group and my good friend, Kristin, was the leader of the blue group. Once we pulled up to the mall, they were given their 1st clue. The blue group was led to Borders to look for 'A Familiar Face' where one of the girls mom's was waiting. Jen was this familiar face and handed them their 2nd clue.

Each team was basically led to the same stores, just in a different order. At Claire's, they received their 'Goody Bags' that I had bought and had them hold behind the counter until the girls came in and found an eye mask. They could then receive their goody bag and their next clue. All of the stores that helped take part in the hunt were more then willing to help out.

The girls also were led to Mrs Field's where they got their prepaid treat...a cookie of their choice. Here are the members of the pink team with Jen...who was our 'familiar face' in Borders.

One of the clues led them to Dillard's to the Clinique counter to get lip gloss applied and receive yet another clue.

The pink team then thought they needed to stop for a few camera shots directed toward the birthday girl.

The blue team stopped to show off their new sparkly lips!

The girls on the pink team caught up with the Limo driver, Fernando, cruising around the mall.

Both teams met up at the fountain in the mall after they found all the clues and decided to pose for the camera.

On the way home, they were all sporting their new hats and having a blast in the Limo.

Once we got home, it was time for cupcakes and ice cream....not to mention a serenade of 'Happy Birthday' to Natalie.

The girls decided that they needed to toast to Natalie entering the 'double digits'.

They got ready for bed.......

and Natalie opened presents.

The next morning, Megan was my helper making French Toast.

and Natalie felt like a STAR! : ) Thank you SO much to Karen, Jen and Kristin for helping out with Natalie's party and making it so special!

This was Natalie 10 years ago. My...how time flies!

Megan's 6th Birthday Spa Party

Thanks to a few fabulous friends, we were able to pull off Megan’s Spa Birthday party today. A few people have asked me to tell all about it on the blog so they could copy some of the ideas….so here it goes. : )

For starters, the invitations were little pink mirrors with a silver bow and a label with party information. As the girls arrived for the party, the entry was set up with artificial trees leading them in to the table where they sign in for their ‘appointment’ beside their name.

They then were led into the dining room where there were children’s magazines that they could sit and look at in the ‘waiting room’. They then would wait there until their name was called.

First, they would be called into the front room where they would get foot soaks and massages by Natalie then get their ‘before’ picture taken. At this station, they received their goody bags which already had some candy and a necklace in it. After this, they would rotate between the other 4 stations.

At one, they would get their fingernails filed and painted, then get to keep the pink nail file and nail polish and add it to their goody bag.

At another, they would make body glitter and take it home in a tiny plastic tub.

At the 3rd, they would get their hair done by a stylist from a local salon and they would receive a pink plastic brush here for their goody bag.

Finally, at the last station, they got their makeup done and took home the makeup set that was used on them, plus a sparkly lip gloss.

As they were going from station to station, Natalie and her friend, Meghan, were walking around serving frozen grapes and chocolate covered strawberries on silver platters.

After they had been to each station, they chose a princess dress off of the rack and took it into the laundry room to change.

As they came out, they got their ‘after’ picture taken. Here is Megan's 'before and after' picture.

We then gathered in the living room for present time.

Time for cake and singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

They were served sparkling grape juice and a cupcake. They also had 'Princess' Goblets that help Raspberry Sherbet ice cream.

Then we had time left for dancing.....

and a game of 'pass the crown'.

At that point, I think my help was ready for the party to be over. ; )

Thank you to EVERYONE who helped out. It was a lot of fun!
